Job Description and Required Skills
Job Title: Marketing/Social Media Specialist Co-op
Job Description / Required Job Skills: Students will be involved in, and take responsibility for, projects related to marketing, branding, and social media campaigns aimed at Chinese college and graduate students studying in China and the US. The work will cover both the existing service lines and new service lines. Students will work directly with members of the marketing department, participate in marketing department meetings, and contribute during marketing strategy sessions.
- Aspiration to build up marketing skills and knowledge
- Interest in creating online marketing campaigns (related experience is a bonus)
- Desire to accomplish new and challenging goals
- Possessing creativity for helping craft branding/marketing campaigns
- Working knowledge of Chinese and/or US social media websites (Facebook/RenRen, Twitter/Weibo, YouTube/Youku, WeChat/Weixin)
- Interested in learning and putting new knowledge to practice
- Detail-oriented mindset
Number of Positions: 1
Language requirement: Chinese is not required, but would be a plus
GPA Requirement: Minimum 2.5 GPA
Hours Per Week: Full time
Compensation: 100 RMBs/day (about $16/day)
Financial Award: Eligible students will be considered for a financial award from Steinbright Career Development Center. U.S. Citizens are eligible for $10,000 in funding from the Freeman Foundation and Steinbright.
Housing: Company will assist students in finding suitable housing arrangements
