Congratulations on your decision to pursue an international co-op! This is a two part application process. By clicking “Apply Now” you will create an International Co-op Application which will be reviewed by an International Co-op team member. If your application meets the preliminary requirements, you will be prompted to schedule a consultation meeting. After this consultation meeting is complete, if your application is approved, you will begin Part 2 of the application process where you will be able to apply to specific programs.

Program Description:        

Bosch has around 300,000 employees and four business sectors - automotive technology, industrial technology, energy and building technology and consumer goods. The specific competencies of the Applied Research department are coating technologies and surface engineering.


Job Description and Required Skills

Job Title: Coating Technologies and Surface Engineering Co-op (Stuttgart)

Job Description: Work within the Applied Research Department: Coating Technologies and Surface Engineering. You will be involved in conception and deposition of film systems by vacuum, printing and wet chemical processes for applications in the fields of battery technologies, photovoltaic, exhaust gas sensors, fuel cells, corrosion, wear protection, and technical cleanliness.

Required Job Skills:

  1. Strong interest in new topics and technology
  2. Capability to work independently
  3. Experience with thin film process or characterization is desirable
  4. Pre-junior or junior

Number of Positions: 3

GPA Requirement: Minimum 3.0 GPA

Language Requirement: English, German (optional)

Compensation: 750€/month (about $900 per month); up to 10 days of holidays for 6 months plus a lunch allowance (~50% of price)

Financial Award: Eligible students will be considered for a financial award from the Steinbright Career Development Center.

Housing: Bosch will provide some assistance in locating housing

Visa Requirement: Visa may be required – Steinbright will provide information on acquiring a visa.
